Past Year's Tax Returns

If you are late filing your tax returns, don't panic. I am here to help you sort out your affairs with CRA(Canada Revenue Agency). There are many circumstances in life that can divert your attention from filing your tax returns on time. If you are an employee and your income consists mainly of employment income (T4), chances are you won't be in a big trouble and most likely receive government credits and benefits by filing your late tax returns. However, if you are a self-employed person and you owe tax payments to the government, you will be subject to penalties and interests on top of your tax due. In any cases, I will guide you through which steps to take in your specific situations. Some situations will require Voluntary Disclosure to be filed first as well as Request for Taxpayer Relief. It is always advisable to seek professional opinion (even calling CRA for help in your matter) as the Voluntary Disclosure can only be filed once for a specific matter and cannot be corrected later.
If you are multiple years late in filing your returns, do not overwhelm yourself and take the simplest approach, which is to take one year at a time starting from the oldest return and proceed from there.

Offered Services:
  • Preparing and filing T1 Personal Income Taxes from past years
  • Preparing and filing T2 Corporate Income Taxes from past years
  • Preparing and filing GST/HST returns from past years
  • Preparing and submitting Voluntary Disclosure
  • Preparing and submitting Request for Taxpayer Relief
